We're hiring Front End Web and AWS Engineers!

Do you like to build things from the beginning? Do you have an interest in greenhouse gases? Do you want to take a step towards changing the world? The Bio-Conversion Databank Foundation (BioDF) might be the right fit for you.

We have two exciting paid internship positions available:

  • Front End Web Engineer

  • AWS Engineer

Front End Web Engineer

We are looking for several web engineers to join our team. Our vision is to be the global centre of credible knowledge associated with the building blocks of bioconversion for greenhouse gas reduction. This means we will help gather the information needed for researchers and scientists to break down the genetic code of waste materials and build them back up into new, useful products.

As a front-end engineer, you will help build out our Portal for researchers and scientists. Vue.js is our foundational platform; practical experience with Vue or Vuetify is preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft DevOps, JSON, Python and Beautiful Soup is helpful. You will be working with a team over the term using Agile practices, incorporating several systems into the BioDF Portal.

Our backend leverages Amazon Web Services, familiarity with Cognito, Load Balancer, Lamda Functions, S3 and DynamboDB is a plus. A savvy technical curiosity is more important than direct experience; in this role, you will try several configurations to find out what works best.

This is a paid intern position. We are looking for post-secondary or graduate students from Universities in Alberta or British Columbia.

If you are interested, please send your resume to: jobs.at.biodf@gmail.com
